Whiskypedia Author for Winter Words Festival

Dewar's World of Whisky welcomes whisky writer extraordinaire Charles MacLean, for a finely blended...

 afternoon's entertainment, as part of the Winter Words Festival which runs until Sunday 7th February.

This rare and unusual event begins (2pm) with a free tour of Dewar's heritage exhibition and distillery and followed by an audience (3.15pm) with Charles MacLean, author of eight whisky books, including Whiskypedia, two of which were short-listed for Glenfiddich Awards. Charles MacLean`s Scotch Whisky: A Liquid History won Wine and Spirits Book of the Year in the 2004 James Beard Awards and Best Drink Book in the World at the Food Media Awards. He is a consultant to the whisky industry and to Bonhams International Auctioneers, and sits on the judging panel of the International Wine & Spirits Awards. Charles has spent the past 27 years researching, writing and lecturing about Scotch whisky.
