| Scotland's leading mentalist brings Mindplay to Pitlochry |
|
Staff at the theatre have first hand experience of the kind of things Drew McAdam can do using the power of his mind,...
as he popped in to the Theatre, ahead of his performance this Friday and tried out a few ‘things' out on members of staff. "He read my mind' exclaimed General
Manager Annie Hibberd "He asked me to think of a name of an old school friend and duly pulled out a piece of paper with her initials written on it. How did he do that?" Equally baffled where Restaurant staff, who looked on in silence and awe as Drew picked up cutlery from the restaurant trays and proceeded to bend a fork and spoon. Drew has good friends for over 15 years with the original spoon bender Uri Geller and spent his childhood bending spoons on Lamb Island - a small island off North Berwick which was recently bought by no other than Uri Geller! Geller has a word for such coincidences - "synchronicities".
Exploring the untapped mysteries and potential of the human mind, Drew McAdam will use all his incredible abilities in a one night only performance on Friday 2nd April at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, 7.30pm. Using body language interpretation, subliminal suggestion and, yes, mind-reading, combined with gentle humour, the result is Mindplay, a fascinating, fun-filled evening's entertainment with Scotland's foremost mind reader. Drew will stop his pulse, reveal a word an audience member has selected at random, describe to a participant an event from their childhood, bend metal cutlery, demonstrate fast calculation, perform impressive memory feats . . . and read your mind!
Tickets are available online or contact PFT's box office on 01796 484626.

"When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
