Posted: 28 May Pitlochry Festival Theatre is delighted to announce that its third play to preview in its Summer Season of six plays is the suspense-filled crime classic Rope. The cast of Rope in rehearsal (L-R): Robin Harvey Edwards, Elliot Harper, Charlie Tighe, Dan Smith, Joseph Mann, Jacqueline Dutoit and Emily Altneu  On a rainy night in London, two Oxford undergraduates, Wyndham Brandon and Charles Granillo, commit a murder. Not out of passion, or hatred, or fear, but simply to prove that they are clever enough to get away with it. Because without a motive that connects them to the crime, how will they ever be caught?  |
"When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
