In memory of D Day: 6th June, 1944, the day when 156,000 Allied forces

 parachuted, landed by glider or stormed ashore on the Normandy coast to begin the liberation of Western Europe and the many brave men that took part, Pitlochry Festival Theatre is delighted to host a D-Day Evening on Wednesday 8th April, 7.30pm

Brigadier Christopher Dunphie - an acknowledged lecturer and author on the Normandy campaign - will divide his illustrated talk into two parts, describing first the background, planning and achievements of D-Day, and then taking us ‘down onto the ground' to hear stories of a few of the more significant actions, and dramatic first-hand accounts.

This will be a fascinating evening, full of rare insight and stunning images. with proceeds going to The Army Benevolent Fund and the Soldiers' Sailors' and Airmen's Families Association (SSAFA). Tickets (£7.50), are available from PFT's box office on 01796 484626 or online.
