Apocalypse No!

Fri 25th March, 7.30pm

In this hilarious musical comedy, Barbershopera bring their tongue-twisting a cappella talents to a tale of the Apocalypse so outrageously apocryphal that Terry Pratchett would be proud to call it his own!barbershopera_list

Following the bi-millennial audit of Earth, the four Archangels - you can tell them by their haloes - advise God that the planet is beyond redemption. Money, politics, love and slow hand-driers have ruined human kind. God thus decides to send in the four Horsemen - you can tell them by their hobbyhorses - to bring about the Apocalypse.

As a result, mainly due to a beautifully punned mistake, an ordinary primary school teacher (with discipline issues) ends up riding with War, Famine and Pestilence when Death fails to show.

Performed in four-part harmony, this latest show from the popular and delightfully talented Barbershopera (a big hit at last year's Festival Fringe) promises a lively and entertaining evening of musical comedy at Pitlochry Festival Theatre on Friday 25th March, 7.30pm.

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
