| A Warm Welcome for Winter Words Authors |
|
Monty Halls took to the Pitlochry stage on Friday night, to talk about life, (the universe and everything inbetween!) as well as his most recent publications which include ‘Monty Halls’ Great Escape’ which charts his time as a crofter of questionable competence in Applecross on the west coast of Scotland during the filming of the first BBC series.
As a welcoming gift, all authors at the Winter Words Festival receive a magnificent bottle of Dewar’s Aberfeldy whisky and a beautiful gift from the Highland Soap Co.
Monty is pictured here with (from left to right) with Jane Grimley from Dewar's World of Whisky, Linda Williamson from Highland Soap Co., and John Durnin, Chief Executive of Pitlochry Festival Theatre. Pitlochry Festival Theatre would like to thank both Dewar's & the Highland Soap Co. for their support of this wonderful wintry words Festival!

"When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
