ROBERT GRAHAM was born in Edinburgh in 1942 and lived there until in 1981 when he moved with his family to Perthshire. In 2002, he reluctantly decided to take early retirement, after being made redundant at work, but soon discovered the appeal of watercolour painting. He is mainly self-taught, but attending evening and weekend tutorial classes, together with a few watercolour workshops, gave him opportunities to improve his technique and encourage his love of this medium. He is presently a member of the Perthshire Art Association and shows his work in their exhibitions. Robert has now lived in Blairgowrie for 29 years and much of the local landscape around Perthshire, Angus and Fife appear in a great deal of his work. His paintings can be found in private collections both here and abroad, most notably in USA, Canada, New Zealand and Europe.

"When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
