KEITH PANTON was born in 1951 in Perth and spent his childhood years in Pitlochry. He attended Dundee University, graduating with an M.A Honours degree in English in 1974. After completing teacher training, he embarked on a teaching career at Harris academy in Dundee where he remained until his retirement in 2002. Influences on his work are as diverse as James McIntosh Patrick, the French Impressionists and contemporary Scottish art. Keith continues to exhibit at various societies in Dundee as well as Pitlochry’s own art society. He has also exhibited at the White Gallery in Dundee and the Di Rollo Gallery in Edinburgh.
