Discover the True Meaning of Friendship

gavin-wright_elizabeth-graham-in-whisky-galoreEach year, we open our doors to more than 60,000 theatre lovers; all here to enjoy a unique repertoire, great actors, outstanding stage sets, in short, an unforgettable evening out. But none of this would be possible without the help of our supporters , the Friends of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

As a Friend you play a leading role

We never underestimate the importance of our Friends, particularly when we look back on the humble beginnings of our wonderful theatre in the 1950’s. Our Friends are more than just theatre-lovers – they are a vital lifeline.

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
